Brian Busser, Ph.D.
Background
Brian joined Versant Ventures as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence based in New York City in September 2021. Before joining Versant, Brian held scientific leadership roles at Cellectis, Beam Therapeutics and Interius Biotherapeutics. He brings extensive experience advancing novel genome engineering strategies for cell and gene therapy applications.
History
Brian is an immunologist and systems biologist by training and received a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin and a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the biotech industry, Brian did post-doctoral work at Harvard University and was a staff scientist at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute.
